Trace Dominguez is a curiosity explorer, science communicator, Emmy-nominated on-camera host, Telly-winning producer, and podcaster. He crafts stories that educate and inspire across all aspects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (with some art thrown in for good measure). Trace is the producer and host of Star Gazers, the world's only weekly television series covering naked eye astronomy; it airs nationwide on PBS. Trace was the co-founder of Seeker (in partnership with the Discovery Channel; now part of Vox Media). With Seeker he hosted, wrote, and produced several digital properties growing an audience of many millions and earning over a billion views. He also consults with the Environmental Defense Fund on digital strategy and programming. About Katie P.

Award-winning writer, director and producer in film, TV and journalism for 10 years. My recent directing work includes industry-recognized car ads for Hyundai, viral spots for brands like Amazon & Adidas, and social impact documentaries for Clorox. Before becoming an independent filmmaker I was a Senior Creative Producer at BuzzFeed Branded Video for 3 years. I juggled several projects at a time and in all different stages of the production process - one in post overseeing the edit, on set directing, doing a final copy edit on a script, and sending in a fresh pitch deck. Previously I was a network producer at Discovery Science Channel where I worked on shows like "The Unexplained Files," "Alien Encounters" and "Prophets of Science Fiction with Ridley Scott." I also created the video content and live produced panels for thousands of excited fans at Comic Con in NY & SD. I know the ins and outs of pitching to networks, developing shows and executing them on accelerated and full timelines. Before that I was at CNN Special Investigations and Documentaries, where I still have strong relationships from working on specials like "Unwelcome: The Muslims Next Door," "Battle for Blair Mountain," and "Latino in America." As an accomplished producer I received a Peabody for coverage of the Gulf Oil Spill Disaster as part of the "New Orleans Rising" documentary with Soledad O'Brien, Visionary Award at Summit Emerging Media Awards for the "Young Entrepreneurs" series for Hyundai, and spots on the Youtube Ad Leaderboard. While I am a creative who envisions a project coming to life as soon as I read the words on the page, I'm also a producer who knows how to deliver assets that meet client's criteria on time, and under budget. I can one-man-band it shooting 4k, editing in Premiere and creating graphics in Photoshop, run-and-gun with a camera op and sound guy on a doc shoot, or direct a commercial spot with a crew of 70. No matter what the project is, I will give it my all because I'm passionate about creating art. Lets make something awesome together!

I am an Iranian, award winning editor/ assistant editor with over seven years of experience in various projects such as documentaries, mockumentaries, narratives, promotionals, and music videos. I recently worked on a Shondaland/Netflix show called Inventing Anna as a post assistant where I managed processing dailies, script syncing, temporary sound design, editorial paperwork, and deliverables. Previously, I worked for over three years as a video editor for the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University where I gained significant experience in all aspects of post-production including editing, effects, color correction, sound mixing, and spotting. I also worked for three years at the Scottsdale School of Film+Theatre as a post-production lab technician, tutoring students in Avid Media Composer and other editing platforms such as Premiere Pro and After Effects. Additionally, I am an Avid Certified Professional in Media Composer and have strong creative and organizational skills along with the ability to communicate and work well both independently and in a group. I consider media the most powerful tool to create stories that challenge the imagination and accepted perceptions. Being a part of a persecuted religious minority, I was deprived of the opportunity to receive formal training and higher education in my home country of Iran. As a result, I immigrated to the United States to pursue my second degree in Film and Media Production because I believe filmmaking has the unique ability to change how we view its subjects, including many that have been consciously and unconsciously misrepresented. That’s why I am eager to work in documentary productions because I admire their desire to shed light on important, untold and unique stories. Migrating to United States by myself, made me resilient and eager to learn and grow and I want to use my skills to tell stories about the vulnerable, the marginalized and the lives deemed less important and the voices kept silent for much too long.  In addition to my work as an editor/ assistant editor, I was a panelist at the 9th Annual Human Rights Film Festival on the subject of immigration and alienation and was a participant and editor of the Dear Women short documentary. Being able to further develop my skills with your team would be an amazing opportunity. I believe I can contribute to your team because of my skill set and because I understand how creative storytelling can bring compassionate people together and promote the community.

Erica Elson is a Production Supervisor at the American Film Institute as well as a graduate of AFI's Screenwriting MFA. Originally from Montreal, she received her BA in Communications and Film Studies from Concordia University and worked for the Line Producer of the Canadian show SOPHIE before moving to Los Angeles. After graduating from AFI, Elson freelanced at ABC, Warner Bros, VH1 and MTV. She was then a Showrunners Assistant on VH1's HINDSIGHT, where she had the chance to write for the web series PLANET SEBASTIAN. Elson’s articles have been published by the Huffington Post, Lifehacker and Readers Digest, among others. She writes and directs short films and is the co-author of the book “The Awkward Human Survival Guide”. Fluent in French, she also translates from French to English. Passionate about sustainable production, Elson created the AFIC Green Seal, the leader of the AFI Green Initiative and the Chair of the Green Film School Alliance.
