Her documentary short, The Love Bugs, was shortlisted for a 2019 International Documentary Association award in the Documentary Short category. She is a 2019 SFFILM + Catapult Film Fund grant recipient, a 2018 Roy W. Dean Grant recipient, and a 2018 and 2011 Telluride Mountainfilm Commitment Grant recipient. In 2013, Allison released her first film, Keeper of the Mountains, which was awarded a Mountainfilm Commitment Grant, won 15 awards, screened at over 30 film festivals around the world and was named “One of the Best Adventure Films of 2013” by Outside magazine. Allison graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a master’s degree in Sociology. She is FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certified for drone operations. When she’s not filming, the Colorado native can mostly likely be found exploring the mountains with her two dogs.

'The Russian Woodpecker' about Chernobyl zone which was also advertised as something big coming from Ukraine is more of a sensationalist trick rather than a documentary.
