We have created videos for television, the web, social media sites, and private and community events. Our videos have been seen in over 100 countries and have been shown at the United Nations. We are currently working on a documentary about the world's most critically endangered sea turtle, the Kemp's Ridley, and also in development for multiple television series on international, national and local platforms. We are interested in telling human interest stories (about a 102-year old woman or an 84-year old female skier) and community activist stories (our video about the Beacon Food Forest has over 20,000 hits worldwide). We do have an environmental bent and would love to feature stories about what individuals and communities are doing to protect the environment, whether they are trying to save old growth forests, building the greenest commercial building in the world, or creating a new sustainable technology.

Most of my films have revolved around travel pieces, both long and short form. I also have experience as a journalist, my main beat being the U.S. military. My work has taken me across the world. I am adept at working in difficult environments as well as foreseeing problems so to avoid them. I also have become skilled at finding solutions to problems that turn out to be unavoidable (that's usually where the story is). When you work in "out there" places like Tibet, Xinjiang, eastern China, Iraq, Iran, India, Mongolia, Thailand, Alaska, etc. you cannot successfully complete your work without these skills. I love telling, or better said, showing stories that help people connect with another part of the world or another way of life. Capturing people out of their comfort zone is where self-learning happens and makes for great film. I speak English, Spanish and Chinese.

Ian J. Connors got his start behind the camera in the US Military with the 1st Combat Camera Squadron. As a combat camera person Ian was challenged to produce quality imagery and compelling stories in some of the most austere conditions in some of the worlds hotspots to including; Bosnia, Korea, The Middle East, and New Jersey. The skills and work ethic he learned in the military translated well to being a freelance cinematographer. He left the military and moved to Seattle and started Directing, Producing, and being a cinematographer for multiple award winning documentaries, corporate videos, and music videos. He attended the Newhouse school of Journalism at Syracuse University and the Seattle Film Institute.
