Hello, my name is Tasha May and I am an Australian and have been living in Jakarta, Indonesia, since 2009. My husband, Mahatma Putra (Director), and I have a small production house, Anatman Pictures, which specializes in documentary film making throughout Indonesia as well as branded commercial work. We are grateful to be a part of the Storyhunter community as there are so many stories we would love to share with the world on life here, not only from the good points, but we want to share people's stories in order to help them by giving them a voice to speak up. We want to inspire people, as well as help people, and also want to share our joy of living in this wonderful and diverse country. About Joy L.

I am Joy Lee, an award-winning Singaporean filmmaker. I am writing to express my interest in working as a cruise videographer and video editor. I am passionate about filmmaking and have geared my education and work experience towards a career in this ever-changing industry. My debut documentary, That's WICKED!, was premiered in several international film festivals, including IDFA 2012 (Amsterdam). It was also nominated for Best Editing and awarded Best Documentary in the Singapore Short Film Awards. As a university graduate and having worked in this industry for 4 years now, I have developed sound knowledge about the entire life cycle of filmmaking. I have crewed as a videographer on both short films and commercials. I have worked with a list of cameras including (but not limited to) C300, most Canon DSLRs, Sony NEX-VG10, Ex-1, Ex-3 and GoPro. I work on Final Cut Pro 7 and my knowledge consists of, but not limited to, capturing/digitizing clips, editing time lines, outputting, working with different formats, color grading, and working closely with the Post-Producer, Director, Producer and clients in the edits and troubleshooting.

I am an aspiring filmmaker with a bunch of ideas waiting to be unleashed. Prior to becoming a filmmaker, I was a journalist with local newspaper in Singapore and that sparked my interest in finding stories and presenting them. I like to hunt for stories that are related to cultures, especially in portraying diversity in cultures and how we can assimilate into different cultures. I am very much into human interest stories as well as stories that could reflect on how the current society is like, or stories that address controversial issues that would spark off conversations about it.

I have worked in the Television industry for 30 years. I started off as an editor and then moved on to Directing and Producing. Currently I live in Singapore. From here I am able to travel easily and cost effectively to most places in South East Asia. I am originally from Cape Town, South Africa, where I produced most of my work. Including the award winning documentary, Glitterboys and Ganglands. I also run a boutique Post Production business that helps independent producers online and grade their projects.

Peta has a background in development communications / media for change and she regularly facilitates media training programs in development settings to build community capacity. About Rebecca And David A.

Journalist and film maker duo based in Indonesia's crazy capital, Jakarta. With our combined talents we have produced both news videos and documentaries for a global market and have worked on notable commercial and non-government projects throughout the region. David Arnold is an award winning film maker who has worked as a director, cameraman and editor throughout the world. Based in Southeast Asia his past clients include Volcom, France 24, Hurley, USAID and I-D Magazine. Rebecca Lake has covered the Indonesian archipelago as a reporter and video journalist for the Jakarta Globe and cable news channel Berita Satu English. As a freelance journalist, based in Asia, Rebecca has been heard on ABC radio, Asia Calling and published by the Inter Press Service and ABC online.

Freelance video-journalist on contract with Thomson Reuters. Previously I've covered stories in the UK, Greece, Myanmar and Singapore, with bylines in Reuters, Yahoo, Democratic Voice of Burma, RT video agency, Ruptly, and for various private commissions. I graduated with a postgraduate degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University in 2013, specialising in broadcast journalism. Previous experience includes making a 21-minute documentary on the closure of the Greece state broadcaster, ERT, working for exiled Burmese media group, Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB), and various news & commercial video assignments in Singapore. I'm available for freelance work throughout Southeast Asia, with a particular interest in covering topics related to Myanmar.

What started as a casual interest in videography has evolved into a full-fledged profession for James, who first started out by involving himself in various community and church-related projects. Years later, he found himself not only enjoying the camaraderie of working in a team, but being further drawn into the media industry and has progressed to work on several projects. James is experienced in broadcast & production camera operation and has been involved in notable corporate and sporting events to concerts for Taiwan, Hong Kong and America celebrities in Singapore. These experiences also allow James to handle various camera in various form such as stationary (with box lens), handheld and dolly and track. Currently, James is expanding his works by producing and directing various corporate video and working towards client’s interest.

Starting out as a tv host, professional emcee and tv commercial model back in the 90s, Yusmal Ghazali is a household name in the tv content creation industry in Malaysia. Through his production company YG Films, he has produced and directed tv movies, drama series, documentaries and a variety of magazine shows. A Bachelor of Laws graduate and an alumnus of the New York Film Academy, Yusmal is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Media Studies at University Malaya. His ambition is to tell great stories that will be remembered for its strong message. His aim is to have his work nominated for the Best Documentary Feature category at the Oscars one day.

Prior to that 4-year stint,, I was a contributing correspondent for several international news organisation which included, Al Jazeera International, Global Post, VPRO TV (Dutch), VJ Movement (Dutch) and a few more. I also have conflict journalism experience having reported and produced documentaries in places like Afghanistan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey and Southern Thailand. I have produced numerous feature documentaries that have gone on to screen in various international film festivals. And I am an author and have written four non-fiction books to date.
