EMILIA MELLO (director/producer/photographer) is a Brazilian-American filmmaker raised between West Virginia and São Paulo. She graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a degree in Biology and in Latin American Studies. Her first foray into film brought her to black tarp camps of the MST, a communist agrarian reform movement in Brazil. She has since produced for Norwegian reality TV, commercials, and short documentaries as well as for the Oscar nominated documentary film, Wasteland. She is working on her first feature documentary about a peninsula in southeastern Rio state.

I am a video-maker that loves searching for good stories, specially the ones dealing with political and social issues. In 2013 and 2014, I worked as a TeleSUR correspondent in São Paulo as a reporter but also shooting, videographying and video editing. During this period, I covered the June manifestations of 2013; the World Cup in Brazil in 2014; and the Brazilian presidential elections in 2014. I also participated in larger journalistic works for television, as for example, producing part of the Pachamama Program for Muzungu Producciones Audiovisuales. Before being a television reporter, I worked for 5 years as a freelance journalist for the Brazilian and international independent press. I am part of Desinformémonos. The stories in "The Surreal Genocid of the Guarani Kaiowas", written for the magazine Revista Caros Amigos Especial was one of the finalist of the respected Brazilian Anatel and Anamatra awards. Paula Sacchetta graduated in journalism at Sao Paulo University (USP), has worked for Globo, TV Brasil, O Estado de São Paulo newspaper and O2 Filmes. Paula won the Amnesty and Human Rights Vladimir Herzog Award in the magazine category, for an article about the National Truth Commission published in a special edition of the Caros Amigos magazine in 2012. She has directed "Truth 12.528", a documentary on the Brazilian National Truth Commission and The more prisoners, greater profit. Diego Lajst has graduated in photography and has been producing and directing short commercials and documentaries for the web since 2009. As part of the Galeria Experiencia collective, he created videos for Folha de São Paulo, O Estado de São Paulo and other important media outlets. I'm, a self-shooting documentary film maker with over 15 years of experience. I graduated with a First from film school in London in 2000, and spent 10 years working in the British television industry. During this time I developed an original series for MTV, an original series fro Channel 5 as well as several one-off documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4. I progressed to directing several large-scale productions including a prime-time BBC One series, "Wallace and Gromit's World of Adventure". I moved to São Paulo, Brazil in 2011 where I began working as senior producer at Vice Brasil's video content department. This involved producing short-form online content for their website as well as directing several branded content campaigns for global names such as Coca-Cola, Ray Ban and Absolut. Rafael Vilela is an independent Brazilian photographer currently reporting on social injustice and the environmental crisis in his country. He was one of the founders of Midia NINJA, an initiative that today has more than 8 million followers. His photographs are part of São Paulo’s Museum of Modern Art (MAM-SP) permanent collection. In 2014 he was invited by Magnum Photos to be one of the Brazilian photographers in the OffSide Brazil project to report on the World Cup. Rafael was also nominated for World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
