Joakim S. Hammond is a writer/director with 16 years of experience. Growing up in a working-class neighborhood without a father and few to no prospects in life he still knew from an early age that he wanted to be a filmmaker. Joakim started his production company within a month of graduating high school and after personally financing and producing two low-budget feature films he realized that maybe the big break wasn’t going to come overnight. So, he decided to move from his hometown Gothenburg and study tv production at a vocational school in Stockholm. Last year he expanded his studies by attending one semester at the University of North Carolina. He has since developed multiple docu-series and freelanced as an editor and cinematographer on top of making multiple short films in different genres. By working his way up through almost all creative fields within the film medium, he’s working on becoming a master storyteller. In 2016 Joakim got the chance to direct and co-write the sketch comedy series Thor-TV for Swedish television and his short film “A Friend of Dorothy” recently finished its 4-year festival run while taking home 3 awards. At the moment he’s studying a bachelor’s in applied social research at Stockholm University while also promoting his latest shorts “Dani”, a drama, and "The Rhythm of My Heart Tears me Apart", an experimental fusion between documentary and fiction.

My name is Edu Villanueva and I am a filmmaker. I work as a cameraman, video editor and director depending on the project. I am co-founder of Milwaukee Video, I really enjoy working with film and it has always been my true vocation. Since I moved to Sweden in 2012 I have worked mostly for Sveriges Television SVT. I have also worked as a freelance cameraman with the live broadcasting of the Volvo Ocean Race´s arrival to Gothenburg in June 2015. In addition to this, I have collaborated in the production of commercial videos for the production company Silver Bullet Film and Göteborgs Universitet. Regarding my background, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies at Ramon Llull University (Barcelona) and a masters in Cinematography at ESCAC, Catalonia’s Film College. For almost 10 years I have worked as an editor, cameraman and assistant for TV channels as well as for private production companies. In 2013 I was in northern Michigan shooting a documentary film about the legendary Stone Circle. In 2012 I directed “Sombra Espejo,” a sport documentary for Barcelona TV. In 2011 I worked as a freelance cameraman and video editor for the advertising agency Tiempo-BBDO in Barcelona. From 2009 until 2011 I worked in Sagrera TV, a film and TV production company based in Barcelona. In 2008 I received an Eurodysée grant and did an internship at TV FRANCE 3, where I worked as an intern news editor. I constantly update my camera and lighting knowledge and I possess advanced skills with editing software, such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Motion and After Effects. Working with motion pictures is my passion. I love to travel and I really enjoy meeting new people.

I am an independent visual artist that works with collaborative visual methodologies for social intervention. I have co-directed participatory documentaries in several states of Mexico; Jalisco, Estado de Mexico and Mexico City. I hade also worked with alternative media campaigns on environmental and social awareness (the NGO Circo Volador, the youth movement 132Media) . I was the delegate from the mexican student movement at a UNESCO youth meeting in Peru, talking about "Virtual Media for Movements". I started in photography as enviromental student that later led me to study cinematography in Mexico City, after I traveled as a commercial photographer for tourism in Europe, Australia and New Zeland which gave me the opportunity to learn and reach out with other organizations that have oriented me in becoming a collaborative film maker. I am currently living in Stockholm as a freelance videographer.

Michael Tebinka is a Director of Photography based in Sweden. I’m a professional photo / video journalist born in Mexico City in 1975. Since 2010 I’ve been covering a variety of issues and topics in Southern Asia, Middle East, Northern Africa, Europe and Central America. I focus my work on the humanitarian cost of conflicts, economics and wars. My work intends to contribute to building our visual memory of the world I testify. I do have experience covering the major conflicts for international news agencies such as AP and The New York Times which provides me with the skills to deal successfully with stress and pressure while meeting strict deadlines under the most hazard conditions. I’ve photographed under reported issues like the ethnic war in Myanmar and the forgotten war in Yemen as well as some of the major current events like the political upheavals in Istanbul, the conflict in Gaza, the military coup in Egypt, the war in Syria and the tribal conflict in Libya. My work has been exhibited at galleries, museums and photo festivals in Europe, Asia, USA and Mexico. My name is Ximena Quiroga Flor, I am originally from Bolivia and I have been living in Sweden for last nine years. I have an academic background in communication, with a number of master degrees in gender, globalization and Latin American studies. I have also a post grade in education and in gender. An alumni of the Royal College of Art in London, I am a filmmaker with documentaries at the core of my work. My documentaries have been screened at international film festivals such as IDFA, London Film festival, Rooftop films or AFI Docs. Already in 2009, one of my works – a music documentary for King Creosote – toured with Onedotzero as part of their New British Talent showcase. Amongst other works I have also produced video art and directed music videos for the likes of UNKLE, while visuals from my latest film have recently accompanied live gigs of Jon Hopkins. My latest documentary - SLEEPERS’ BEAT - premiered at IDFA and later won the Sheffield Doc/Fest Best Documentary award at the London short film festival 2015. I am an ambitious and thorough journalist who can shoot video, edit, present and write scripts in English, Swedish, Spanish and Portuguese. After seven years of working with broadcast television I have covered small towns in Sweden, the whole country, terror attacks in Europe and worked as a Correspondent in Latin America for the largest network in Scandinavia, Swedish Television (SVT). I am currently employed as a Digital Specialist at the online desk of the newspaper Göteborgs-Posten. Our focus is on breaking news through digital media. Czech Director / Cinematographer David Čálek graduated from Prague’s FAMU film school in 1998 and has shot and/or directed over 30 documentaries around the world for independent producers and TV broadcasters (Czech TV, HBO CZ). His doc HEAVEN AND HELL was released theatrically in the Czech Republic and had its international festival premiere at SXSW 2011, Austin, Texas, USA. Basel Mawlawi was raised in Damascus, Syria and received his Bachelors of Arts from Middlesex University (UK) and a Professional Diploma in Film Production from the SAE Institute (Australia). Basel worked for over four years as a producer and production manager on a number of documentary projects in Amman, Jordan and Damascus, Syria and produced a short film called Patchwork House that premiered at the short film corner 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
