I am a professor of Communication and Video Production and I enjoy working on journalism and documentary projects in addition to my teaching career. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in documentary film, as well as having worked as a news videojournalist for a tv news station in Tucson, Az. I have excellent video production and editing skills, and I have storytelling experience in a variety of types and delivery platforms. As you will see in my samples, I am interested in telling stories about social justice and the environment. My previous work has taken me to Haiti, Colombia, Florida, and North Carolina, and I hope to have the opportunity to continue travelling the world to find great stories.

About Patricio C.

Patricio is a world-traveling adventurer and filmmaker. For the past decade, Patricio has produced several award-winning independent films and television series for both Discovery Channel International and National Geographic. He's currently directing his first feature documentary tentatively entitled Prudence and Albert, which includes filming during three weeks at the 2013 Kumbh Mela in India, a spiritual pilgrimage of over 70 million people. Pato is currently producing two feature documentaries Fighting in the Dark and Endo What? He produced the narrative film Sulphur Mountain starring Indie film breakout Mark Webber and Pileta with Argentine actress Ines Efron. He produced and appears on-camera in the travel adventure series Sea Nation, which currently airs in over 60 countries around the world.

About Débora S.

Débora Silva is a Brazilian journalist now residing in California. She started her career at a television station in São Paulo, Brazil, right after graduating with a degree in Journalism. For four years, she worked as a reporter and producer for a documentary news program about social and political issues in Brazil. In 2009, Débora moved to California to pursue a career as an international correspondent. She graduated in June 2014 from a Master’s Degree program at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism with emphasis in television. Following her graduation, Débora served as the Associate Producer for a PBS (Frontline) documentary, RAPE ON THE NIGHT SHIFT – an investigation on the sexual abuse of immigrant women in the janitorial industry. Débora is fluent in Portuguese and English and proficient in Spanish. Her broadcasting skills include shooting and editing videos (Premiere and Avid), producing video segments (studio and field), on-air reporting and interviewing.

My name is Leighton. Cinematography has been a passion of mine since I was opened to it in 2009. I started filming outdoor hunting online shows and then moved to wedding films. After that I moved to Nashville and started filming music videos and EPKs for music artist. In 2014 I ventured back to my hometown of Montgmery, Alabama and started filming in the corporate world.. i.e. training videos for large companies. political campaign commercials local business commercials etc... I professionally edit in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop I operate on RED if the budget allows. If not we use, Canon DSLR and Panasonic broadcast cameras. We Live stream large sporting events, business meetings, speaking engagements etc.. I am a licensed professional drone operator. I fly roughly twice a week.

Hi, I’m BJ Adkins, award winning videographer and graphic designer based in Dothan, AL. Prior to entering into the video, I've had 12 years graphic design experience, 35 years photography and 10+ years computer systems administrator experience (Mac, PC, Linux, Solaris). Once I started the video and multimedia, I fell in love with video, filmmaking – the entire process. I pretty much eat, sleep and dream video. I’m detail oriented and somewhat a perfectionist. My primary goal is to produce the best content for my “client”, regardless of where they are from. I consider everyone I am creating a video for a client – businesses, individuals or groups. And I employ the same sequence to all of them so that I can reproduce professional results every time from concept to finished product. This includes filming, sound, actors, scripts – every part of the process. I would be honored and excited to have the opportunity to film and edit videos and all the other related duties with other team members at the HOTH. I’m able to work alone or in teams and work on tight deadlines. My prior experiences as supervisor, team leader, and business owner has carried over into my film making. I take a lot of pride in every video I have my name on, in any capacity.
