About Aaron S.

Aaron Strand is a filmmaker and actor from Athens, GA. He earned a BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. A self-taught filmmaker, Aaron started his own production company, Stranded Productions in 2018 and has produced, directed, shot and edited commercials, music videos and short films. His work has been shown at the Oxford Film Festival, Manchester Film Festival, and San Francisco IndieFest, among many others and has been featured in ‘The Bitter Southerner’ and ‘Oz Magazine’’. Aaron currently resides with his wife in Atlanta, GA.

About Joseph C.

Joseph Carter has over 15 years of experience in Latin America- mostly in Brazil where he was based in Rio de Janeiro. He has worked as a cameraman, presenter, producer and actor for Brazilian, European and American channels and production companies on a freelance basis for the last 13 years. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, English and Italian (and some French), and has an extensive web of contacts throughout Central and South America. This has helped him produce and film stories ranging from following drug gangs in the Rio slums, to illegal gold mining and logging in the Peruvian and Brazilian Amazon, following police operations against gangs in the Caracas slums of Petaré and La Vega, to covering the Colombian conflicts in the Choco, Putumayo and Cauca regions of Colombia. He began his career as a sociologist and earned a Masters in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin before moving to Washington D.C. and working in International Development. After 2 years in Washington he moved to Latin America where he still resides. He understands the complex web of issues and contradictions throughout the region and has extensive experience in practically every country. Recently Joe was production manager and lead researcher for the Documentary “L’Autre Rio”, Associate producer, assistant director and story consultant for Pacified (Direction Paxton Winters, Executive Producer Darren Aranofsky) and Brazil Production Manager for the documentary “This is Climate Change”.

About Lucas Estevan S.

My professional career started on stage in 2007 when I was working as an Actor behind Balinese masks and entertaining people with mime tricks. That helped me to learn how to negotiate. After becoming a professional filmmaker in 2010, I've been creating content and developing film projects all around the world (I've explored 44 countries so far). Traveling is my biggest source of self-learning. In 2012, I've started my film production company International House of Cinema in Curitiba, Brazil. Since then, we've been providing services for the public and corporate sectors. Our list of clients in Brazil includes Volvo Penta, Los Paleteros, Way Beer, Huawei, INCA, TRT, EMATER, among others. In 2018, we've expanded our operations opening a new HQ of the company in Miami. In the US I've been working successfully with Miami Downtown Development Authority, Miami Design District, and The Knight Foundation. Currently, I'm focusing a lot on the entertainment side of the company as our original productions are starting to flourish, something I’ve always dreamed about.

I'm a full-service filmmaker based in Barcelona, carrying experience across a variety of genres and disciplines, from viral web content to commercial work to documentary film. Most recently, I've directed a series of social impact documentaries for Barcelona-based OTOXO Productions -- including television documentary 'BICIBUS' and award-winning documentary short 'TWO'. During my time in Europe, I've also had the opportunity to produce and direct promotional material for The UK's largest documentary festival -- Sheffield DocFest -- as well as assisting with camerawork and editing on many commercial productions and documentary shorts. Before Barcelona, I gained entertainment industry experience in multiple areas. For years, I was anchored in Chicago's theatre and comedy communities, studying Comedy Writing and Performance at Columbia College Chicago/The Second City and featuring in productions across the American Midwest - as well as working as on-camera talent for various Midwest US productions. Then, I transitioned into work as a freelance video editor, growing my portfolio to include commercial content for businesses across the world, online content for companies with an audience of millions like WhatCulture, and more. Dr. Anna Chacon is a board-certified dermatologist who has a passion for helping patients resolve their dermatologic conditions from the comfort of their home. She grew up in Miami, Florida, and has lived in many different regions such as Chicago; Los Angeles, California; Providence, Rhode Island; arctic Alaska; Cairo, Egypt; Haifa, Israel and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has a lifelong passion for being a doctor and physician, which was inspired by her own father Dr. Chacon, a pioneer in critical care in South Florida and founder of the largest private intensive care unit in the area. After frequently attending work with her father at the hospital, rounding and watching him care for others during natural disasters and times of need with a great sense of compassion, she knew from a young age that becoming a doctor was her calling and what she was born to do. Dr. Chacon is an independent solo dermatologist and private practitioner. She also collaborates with indigenous tribes such as Arctic Slope Native Association, Lake County tribal health consortium, Seminole Tribe of Florida as their first go-to dermatologist. She is the first and only dermatologist to work and serve the Alaskan Bush, referring to the region of the state that is not connected to any road networks and does not have ready access to waterways or the state’s ferry system, flying on bush planes to see patients in villages in the most remote and rural areas of the country. She practices in person in Florida, Alaska, and California, and also works as a teledermatologist, the only dermatologist with 52 medical licenses, including all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She has started and led a non-profit organization called Indigenous Dermatology focusing on rural, remote and tribal health of the skin, hair and nails.

Mya-Breyana Morton is a director and cinematographer based in Atlanta, Ga. She began her career as the cinematographer and co-producer for a short horror film entitled, Auntie, which was a viral hit and has since gained over 800,000 views online. Her student films, What Remains of Emily, Proud, and The Traveler had a successful domestic and international festival run, collectively winning eight awards. She was also the recent recipient of the Independent Film Trailblazer Award presented by the Black LGBT Film Festival. Her main goal in her career is to create films that resonate with people in new and exciting ways. Her approach to doing so is by educating herself on the craft of filmmaking and storytelling and simple trial and error.
