Isaac Brown is an award-winning director with a masterʼs degree in documentary film production from University of Floridaʼs Documentary Institute. His thesis film GIMME GREEN won over a dozen awards and screened at over 100 film festivals around the world. His documentary TERRA BLIGHT premiered at Slamdance 2012. He has over 19 years of production experience and holds his part 107 certification with the FAA to fly drones commercially. As a journalist, I love to work with public records and data and get out on-foot in the community. In my free time, I'm usually surfing or out and about with my two dogs. I was a Report for America corps members from 2019 - 2021 in New Mexico as a multimedia reporter and podcast producer/host at the Santa Fe Reporter. At the Santa Fe Reporter, I covered Santa Fe’s Southside — its immigrant and indigenous communities, service industry workers, entrepreneurs and families — through stories that impact their lives. I also covered the business and culture outside of the city’s contemporary downtown core, especially taking into account women, people of color, historical context, access to health care and education. I started my career as a full-time staff journalist at Miami Today News covering the dynamic cities of Coral Gables and Miami Beach as well as international news that affected South Florida, including arts, culture, banking and finance. I have freelanced as a writer, photographer and videographer for numerous publications since college, including USA Today, the Tampa Bay Times, the St. Augustine Record, Happs News, Al-Jazeera Plus, Human Rights Campaign, the Florida Bulldog and Seminole Magazine, long before completing my Bachelor's in Journalism/Media Production. I received a grant while attending Flagler College to work with a partner covering malnutrition and poverty in a Mayan community on the shores of Lago de Atitlan in rural Guatemala. I am a previous grantee for the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting. Tracey Eaton, a long-time investigative journalist and foreign correspondent, and I, traveled to Havana, Cuba in August 2018 to cover the housing crisis. We published multiple multimedia pieces. USA Today and the Tampa Bay Times were the first publications to take the story. I am bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish. I graduated from Flagler College majoring in Journalism/Documentary Production and minoring in International Studies Magnua cum Laude.

Rory Thompson is a twenty-one-year-old Black filmmaker born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in Digital Media Production and Media Studies with a minor in Film Studies. ​ Growing up with a passion for stories and storytelling, Rory quickly fell in love with video storytelling via film and television. At the age of 10, he started making home movies and stop motion videos. At the age of 17, he made his first short film, "Fourth of July". Since then, Rory has worked with various sports organizations, doing mostly video editing work, including the Jacksonville Sharks, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Jacksonville Giants, the St. Augustine Glory, and Flagler College Athletics. He has also independently produced music videos and worked on various short films. In the Spring of 2021, Rory started production on his first short film in almost four years with "Six Months Later", which was later released in July 2021. He is currently in production of his undergraduate thesis film, "The Butterfly and the Wasp", with a planned release of early 2022.

I’m currently a graduate student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. I recently completed the News21 Investigative reporting project "Voting Wars." My stories were published by the Washington Post, The Center for Public Integrity, Stars and Stripes and in local markets such as Denver, Tulsa, Cleveland, and Greenbay. Before returning to school for my masters degree, I worked as an Associate Producer at Fox News Channel. I spent several years working with the channel’s White House Unit, traveling with the press pool and covering presidential events. I later went on to work for the Washington bureau’s weekend program “America’s News HQ”​. I helped to book guests, write copy, produce interviews, and generate interesting news segments for our show.
