Wynn Ponder began his first freelance video marketing business in 1991, serving Wichita advertising agencies, manufacturing companies, banks, and health care clients. For 10 years after that, he was senior copywriter for Armstrong | Shank Advertising, writing for such clients as Farm Credit, Rent-A-Center, Master Machine, Kennedy & Coe, Friends University, Westland Corporation, Heartspring School, Riverside Health System, Willie C's restaurant, Timberline restaurant, and many more. Wynn served as marketing communications director for Pioneer Balloon Company for two years, then returned to freelance video marketing, where his clients included Protection 1, Kansas Department of Labor, Kansas Department of Commerce, Home Vesting, PK Technology, Bethany College, and many more. In 2007, he started a video marketing business that has served such clients as American AgCredit, University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, American Bonanza Society, Choose Networks, US Logo, Redbox, American Diabetes Association, Wichita Art Museum, and many smaller Wichita companies and organizations. Over the past 20 years, I have a flawless track record producing, directing and editing content with world class creative agencies, television and film production companies and Fortune 500 companies which include Yahoo! News, People TV, NBC Universal, Travelocity, Real Time with Bill Maher,  Getty Film, Oracle, Organic, WAG Entertainment, MAK Pictures, 60 Minutes, Harvest Creative, Hint and Thrillist. In 2022, Jon directed and edited the feature documentary, Class of COVID- 19 which recently won the 2022 International Black Film Festival- Nashville Best Long Documentary, Kansas City Film Fest International Audience Choice Award for Documentary Feature and the Silver Remi Award at WorldFest- Houston International Film Festival. The documentary also screened at the Portland Film Festival and the Twin Cities Film Festival. In 2018, Jon directed, produced and edited the award-winning feature documentary film, Uncommon Allies. Uncommon Allies is currently on Amazon Prime, Apple, TV, Roku TV and VUDU. Over the past several years, Jon collaborated with Oscar and Emmy award winning filmmakers on many independent projects.  He was a producer and DP on the feature documentary film, Beyond Laughter and Tears, released in March of 2016 directed by Oscar award winner Doug Blush.  Jon's past experience includes working as a director, producer, DP and editor at Yahoo!.  Jon played a hands-on, key role in establishing Yahoo! as a forerunner in original online video productions.  This was Yahoo’s first step into original TV style series (webisodes) productions.  He directed, edited and produced 5 original webisode series while at Yahoo! focusing on topics such as travel, lifestyle, subcultures, music, news, and politics.  He's worked with TV hosts Bill Maher, Charlie Rose and Richard Bangs.  Jon's last project at Yahoo! was creating a video profile of the President of the United States in the White House Roosevelt Room.  It was the first time in history a sitting president conducted an interview solely for the internet.  This project was a tremendous success and received international attention and millions of video streams. In 1998, Jon was a video producer for the world’s first e-commerce website with broadcast film footage.  The company was acquired by Getty Film in 2000.  He has also produced, directed and edited several short films.

I also set up/shot nightly live shots with our microwave truck. From Mar 2006-Dec '06 I worked as the assignment editor, coordinating reporters' stories and planning news coverage throughout the day and long-term. My wife and I started our own videography business, Five C Video, in 2006.
