Cory Coken began his career in the industry by building an extensive and impressive list of credits. Having worked on feature films like Batman Forever, Apollo 13, and Hoop Dreams (just to name a few), Coken developed a versatile background in sound. He eventually transitioned into advertising where he has created, recorded, and designed audio for a number of television and radio commercials. Working with clients like Disney, Coca-Cola and Army. In 2000, he built and created a new state of the art facility providing clients with the best studios for postproduction sound. Coken also teaches at his alma mater, Columbia College, where he instructs students on the theory and technical means behind audio for the visual medium. He is always actively involved in numerous freelance projects including live recording for Drum Corps International and tackling the sound design/mixing for independent films. Now with over 20 years experience in the industry, Cory brings his knowledge, talent, and passion for audio to his own studio, NoiseFloor LTD.

About Patricia Nabong .

Patricia Nabong is a visual journalist who is dedicated to breaking stereotypes, covering untold stories and serving communities through visual journalism. She is currently a photojournalism fellow at City Bureau, a civic journalism lab in Chicago. In the past, she worked as a fellow at The Medill Justice Project, where she produced an interactive visual investigation of Washington D.C.’s vacant properties, which was a finalist for the 2017 Peter Lisagor Award. She was also a student fellow at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, which funded her short documentary and photo essay about the psychological toll of the drug war in the Philippines. Her photos, articles and videos have appeared in the American Documentary Film Festival, The Weather Channel, Seeker, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Reader, Chicago Defender, WBEZ Chicago, City Bureau, Narratively, The A.V. Club, The Riveter, Climbing Magazine, Balitang America and Medill Reports, to name a few. She is one of the 2018 nominees for the World Press Photo Foundation's Joop Swart Masterclass. She earned her master's degree in journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism where she received the Harrington Award for Videography/Broadcast. She also won a Chicago College Emmy for a video she produced there.  Prior to starting her graduate studies at Medill, she worked as a freelance multimedia journalist for online news sites Rappler, Union of Catholic Asian News and ABS-CBN News and as a part-time photography teacher at St. Paul College, Pasig. She graduated summa cum laude as the batch valedictorian of the class of 2015, with a degree in Film from the College of Mass Communication of the University of the Philippines. She is a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, the national journalism honor society; the Photojournalists’ Center of the Philippines; and the Tokwa Collective.

Composer and sound designer JARED CHANCE TAYLOR (b. 1993, NJ) draws inspiration from a vast repository of music's definition to create raw, potent, and meaningful art. From ads to narrative, Jared composes for a wide variety of mediums. He recently completed large bodies of orchestral work for Jaguar and China Global Television Network. Additionally, he has written branded content for Toyota, Xbox, Microsoft, Kroger, and Little Spoon. His work has been showcased at a number of film festivals including the Los Angeles New Wave International Film Festival, Manifest Showcase, QFest NJ LGBT Film & Digital Media Festival, and Reel Stories Film Festival. Whether producing locally in Los Angeles or working closely with custom scoring houses based in locations such as London and Oslo, Jared enjoys collaborating with creatives around the world. Recent musical collaborators include Tim Myers (Zync, former OneRepublic), Eric Allaman (Legend, Battleship Potemkin), Nathan Wayne (former Ivory), and John Lowell Anderson. Currently, he is composing a newly commissioned musical, entitled Monotony, with writer Sarah Luery- a work expected to surface in late 2018.

He works relentlessly to understand how and why sound and music are so integral to the human experience. He has composed scores for over 20 theatrical productions and since 2010 has created scores for feature films, short films, and advertisements, as well as produced music for hip-hop, pop and soul artists. He currently creates music out of his home studio in Chicago where he lives with his partner and their son.
