Filmmaker, podcast producer, and radio broadcaster, Jackson has spent the better part of 25 years documenting independent arts, culture and political movements wherever he's been based. For the last 15-plus years his base was Beirut, Lebanon where Jackson directed, shot, and produced numerous documentaries, documentary segments, and branded documentaries in the Middle East, North Africa, the Mediterranean Basin, and parts of Asia. Uncommon Allies is currently on Amazon Prime, Apple, TV, Roku TV and VUDU. Over the past several years, Jon collaborated with Oscar and Emmy award winning filmmakers on many independent projects.  He was a producer on the feature documentary film, Beyond Laughter and Tears, released in March of 2016 directed by Oscar award winner Doug Blush.  Jon's past experience includes working as a director, producer, DP and editor at Yahoo!.  Jon played a hands-on, key role in establishing Yahoo! as a forerunner in original online video productions.  This was Yahoo’s first step into original TV style series (webisodes) productions.  He directed, edited and produced 5 original webisode series while at Yahoo! focusing on topics such as travel, lifestyle, subcultures, music, news, and politics.  He's worked with TV hosts Bill Maher, Charlie Rose and Richard Bangs.  Jon's last project at Yahoo! was creating a video profile of the President of the United States in the White House Roosevelt Room.  It was the first time in history a sitting president conducted an interview solely for the internet.  This project was a tremendous success and received international attention and millions of video streams. In 1998, Jon was a video producer for the world’s first e-commerce website with broadcast film footage.  The company was acquired by Getty Film in 2000.  He has also produced, directed and edited several short films.

Bex Rodriguez is a filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. As a full-time freelancer since 2013, Beca has worked on countless docs, commercials and music videos. Recently, Bex worked as a DP for Hulu, NPR, AT&T, The Daily Show, and most recently Discovery Plus. Bex’s goals are shooting and directing documentaries with a focus on women and minorities. She has traveled to Morocco to DP the disappearing culture of the nomadic people in the Sahara. Bex not only DPs but has recently discovered directing. From Sol to Seoul, a rock climbing doc following a young woman’s journey from her farm in Colorado to the granite mountains of South Korea, is her latest film in post production.

She has an insatiable curiosity and a sincere affection for humanity (from incarcerated men to inuits in Greenland, to C level professionals Sally can find a way to connect with the scope of humanity) . Sally has worked as a producer for National Geographic, History Channel, The Smithsonian, MSNBC, PBS and Discovery. Most recently she has specialized in Branded Entertainment, creating successful campaigns for T Mobile, Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans, Saucony, Brooks and more. In addition to producing and directing Sally is a competent shooter and editor. Just don't leave her stuck in a dark room for too long.

Lily is a filmmaker and educator based in New Orleans. Her directorial debut, Bayou Maharajah, premiered at SXSW in 2013 and has since won many awards including the Oxford American Award for Best Southern Film and Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities’ Documentary Of The Year. She has produced for Arcade Fire, Beyoncé, and Preservation Hall. Her films have covered the Department of Homeland Security's policy of family detention, prison conditions in Gaza and the deteriorating environment of the Gulf Coast. Lily is a co-founder of New Orleans Video Voices, a women-led collective dedicated to increasing media literacy across the Gulf South. In 2015, she was commissioned by Time Inc. and Field Office Films (producer of Beasts Of The Southern Wild) to contribute to their coverage of Hurricane Katrina’s 10-year anniversary. The resulting film, Everything Is To Be Continued, exposes how Black working musicians have been excluded from New Orleans’ economic recovery. Lily’s second feature documentary Buckjumping premiered in October 2018 to the largest audience ever assembled at the New Orleans Film Festival. Her work has appeared on ARTE, HBO, MTV News, Time, Al-Jazeera English, Democracy Now!, Sundance DocClub, Hulu, Netflix, iTunes, Electronic Intifada and PBS. Lily is a member of the Grammys, Film Fatales New Orleans, a former board member of WIFT-Louisiana and of the Patois Human Rights Film Festival. She is on the Community Advisory Board of WWOZ and is a member of Alternate ROOTS. Lily a founding member of the All-Yall Film Collective of Southern filmmakers.

Manny Marquez grew up in Oklahoma, and is of Mexican and Native American decent. He’s a voting member of the Choctaw Tribe of Oklahoma. His parents were small business owners. Their dedication and work ethic, combined with his faith and ethnic background, are all elements Manny has brought to his filmmaking. He studied film at the Art Center College of Design. It was here Manny deepened his love for cinema, and it convinced him that every day people with a story to tell were where he needed to train his camera. Manny now lives in Tulsa, OK with his wife and four children. He directs short-form documentaries for an array of clients ranging from pharmaceutical companies, financial firms, breweries, and beyond. He also directs broadcast commercials and music videos. His feature film Psychopath was released in 2014, and his award winning short film Operation Allie was runner up at the 2018 Big Sky Documentary Festival, and selected for the the GI Film Festival San Diego. Manny is currently developing his next feature documentary.
