I'm a freelance Documentary lighting Cameraman, Steadicam Operator and editor. As you will see from my CV my experience covers: documentary, drama, commercials, virals, music video, corporate communications and even fine art films. My last broadcast credit was for the 90min documentary, The truth about child brides shot in HD in India and Bangladesh for the BBC. Although I have a strange habit of getting totally into whatever odd subject I'm working on at the time (go on, ask me about concrete. No, seriously, it's magical stuff!) I have particular interests in: finance (high, low, technical, consumer), business, politics (UK, US and Indian in particular), science (especially mathematics and physics), engineering and philosophy (ethics and political philosophy in particular). In fact, the only thing I have no interest in is sports, Martial arts (I'm a Karate Black belt), tennis, skiing and scuba diving, excepted.

I have an interest in investigative journalism and also enjoy hunting for stories that help inform the nation. I have an interest in health issues and would love to highlight such issues to the nation. I am equally interested in uncovering stories on the economy-the petty things people do to save money in times of austerity. I am keen on both human stories and anthropology related ones. In the human side, I prefer stories about people who make a difference or are simply bizarre. As for the social stories, I like looking at groups of people through a camera lens; the inhabitants of a small town by the seaside and their location's history, their traditions, their Nature and everything that makes them unique; the representatives of a Freemasonry lodge and their reasons to be, their goals or their gatherings; I am interested in social stories and their impact on Society as well and a long etcetera. My names Stef Hrycyk I am currently a freelance editor working in Nottingham. Ive been editing in one form or another for over 10 years. I Started out editing on analogue machines as a hobby and have progressed continuously, having graduated from University last year I now have numerous jobs under my belt. For the past year I have been working freelance at Spool Post (based in Nottingham) editing corporate videos for clients such as E.ON, and University of Greenwich. I have also edited a film trailer for the feature film Holy Rollers starring Jesse Eisenberg, which was shown on TV in the UK. I have also been featured on the popular film website Aint it Cool News which showcased some I feel as though I am well rounded when it comes to production. I am always interested in human stories and human struggle, as I have had a speech impediment since I was young. It can still bother me now, as recently it has gotten much worse. So I am always interested in people with problems. My old tutor at confetti studios in Nottingham always told me I knew how to make documentaries and it's not something I've really pursued since studying, so I would very much like to try again.

In 2009 he directed Refrain, a surreal short film that went on to win Best Film and Best Actor at Siddharta Summer Film Festival. In 2015 he relocated to London to study directing on the MA Filmmaking Course at Goldsmiths College.

I am an Arabic-speaking broadcast journalist with experience of working for Al Jazeera, Reuters and Agence France Presse (AFP), where I currently freelance as a news and features producer. I've worked on flagship studio programmes broadcast on Al Jazeera English including The Listening Post and Inside Story, as well as long format current affairs documentaries, including The Rageh Omaar Report and a 48" documentary marking the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Kuwait, which I produced and presented. I have also contributed shorter features for diversity programmes, including Artsworld and Everywoman. As a news producer at AFPTV, I have commissioned breaking news and feature stories from a network of video journalists across the MENA region, Europe and Africa, and I currently series produce a weekly highlights programme for AFPTV called Africa Weekly. I left full time employment four years ago in order to pursue my passion for storytelling – in all its formats – as a freelancer.

I love to shoot anything from independent artists to town and city scenes always trying to find the small story within the bigger picture. My work takes me around the UK and the world and after working for the BBC for 9 years, I know a good story when I pass by it - indeed, I love hunting down a unique angle of a seemingly straightforward tale. At heart I'm a storyteller and my tools are my cameras (Sony EX3 & 5D MK2) and my ability to shoot fast and edit quicker to get content online and broadcast (BBC World, Online and Technology) often within a few hours of shooting. I just finished my post-graduate studies in Filmmaking at Sheffield Hallam University. My specialty is creating a short form commercial/non-commercial content that can build awareness or higher impact to mirror a new perspective to the society and positive image to the company and stakeholders.
