Currently, she also works as an Editor for the platform FoodUnfolded, funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology: a body of the EU, established under the Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. After traveling the world on a bicycle for almost two years, Heiko Aufdermauer has studied FILM DIRECTION at HFF Konrad Wolf in Babelsberg. In 2008, he was rewarded with a DAAD post-graduate scholarship for Kolkata / India. Apart from a documentary in Eastern Germany (JAPAN IS UNDERNEATH), many times he worked abroad: in India, he shot the shortfilm DIVINE DURGA and in Iran, he did ZAAR – both for arte. His artistic roots are alike in narrative film (e.g. the award winning feature film ZEIT DER FISCHE ) as well as in internationally successful experimental work (Förderpreis dt. Film in Hof, Oberhausen, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Houston). In addition to his work on two new feature films, in recent years, he directed and shot as D.O.P. hundreds of commercials, scenes, music clips and short films as commissioned work. This created a virtuosity in dealing with a wide variety of genres and narrative possibilities within the short form. Beside his work as a freelance director, writer, videographer, D.O.P. and producer, in 2010 he founded SILENTFILM ARTIST COLLECTIVE as a platform for image films, documentary and music videos.
