About Abdoulmonam E.

Eassa is a Syrian freelance photographer, born in Damascus in 1995 and until early 2018 based in Hammouria, Eastern Ghouta. When the war broke out he was forced to quit his studies since his hometown came under siege and he was no longer able to travel to Damascus. Eassa started his career in photojournalism as a self-taught freelance photographer in 2013, covering life under siege and documenting the carnage and destruction resulting from near-daily air strikes and bombardments. His work has received nominee in Free Press Awards 2018 and Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award 2018 and he wins 2nd and 3rd Place at War/Conflict Category in International Photography Awards 2018, and he won 3rd place at Spot News category in pictures of the year international 2018

Gabriel recently returned from directing and DPing a short documentary on the border of Gaza. Arin Yoon (she/her) is a Korean American documentary photographer and visual artist based in the Kansas City area. Her work focuses on the military community and the impacts of war, displacement, notions of family, women and issues of identity and representation. Arin is a National Geographic Explorer, a We, Women Photo artist, and an International Women's Media Foundation fellow. She is a member of Women Photograph and Diversify Photo and an alumna of the Eddie Adams Workshop and the Missouri Photo Workshop.
