David Helfer Wells is a film-maker and photographer who divides his time between Providence, Rhode Island and Bangalore, India. One day you can find him creating still and moving images for clients, such as Edible Rhody and the Providence Preservation Society on the unique local culture of America’s smallest state. Other days he may be working on personal/grant funded projects on the beautiful Narragansett Bay with the support of Rhode Island’s Council for Humanities and State Council on the Arts. In India’s “Silicon City” Bangalore, he is busy creating visual narratives for clients such as Bryn Mawr College and Aramco World or working on personal/grant funded projects supported by the Fulbright and Alicia Patterson Foundations. He has worked on assignment for such magazines as Fortune, Life, National Geographic, Newsweek, The Sunday New York Times, and Time, among others. One editor described him as a “…specialist in intercultural communication and visual narratives that excel in their creative mastery of light, shadow and sound, stills and video.” His project on the pesticide poisoning of California farm workers was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize by the Philadelphia Inquirer. He has also worked for corporations such as Consolidated Natural Gas and DuPont as well as for non-profits such as the Ford Foundation and the New Israel Fund.

I am a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Masters Degree in Film and Video production. After graduation I worked as a screenwriter, penning original screenplays and rewriting existing material for most of the Hollywood Studios. I authored the feature film No Escape, directed by Martin Campbell and starring Ray Liotta. In the year 2000, I founded Aurora Video, a full service video production and post production company. I function as a writer, producer, director, videographer, and editor. Since 2000, I have produced, directed, photographed and edited over a hundred video projects, including corporate videos, public service announcements, music videos, training films, promotional videos, book trailers, multi-camera live performance shoots and award-winning narrative shorts. Some of my recent clients include the band Blondie and Dweezil Zappa, MasterCard, The United Way, The YMCA and The New York Institute of Photography.

About Raouf Z.

We include a sound recordist on all shoots at no extra charge. We shoot with the Red Komodo and Schneider Cine Xenar primes as well as an assortment of professional LED lights. Raouf Zaki's experience ranges from a DOP on countless docs and branded content as well as producing for the NOVA Evolution series about petrified whales in the Egyptian desert, to lensing “run and gun” shows for the Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel. Raouf served as a cameraman for several independent documentaries that were broadcast on Frontline and POV like “Funny Faces,” a documentary on Muslim comedians and “Aristide, the Endless Revolution.” He was segment producer and main cameraperson on a documentary for Lebanese TV “LBC” about Arab American after the events of 9/11. Raouf was also selected by the US Health Initiative to produce and direct educational dramas on AIDS awareness. He won a Lamplighter Award for a documentary on the mentally challenged, produced for Vinfen Corporation. He won a second Lamplighter award for an instructional video for cancer survivors, produced for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In 2019, Raouf produced, shot, and edited a short documentary about a blind singer for the 2019 AT&T Shape Create-a-thon in Los Angeles, which won the grand prize from 580 entries and 1400 participating filmmakers! Raouf has also worked on hundreds of corporate productions, television PSAs and web commercials, recruitment videos, and live webcasts. A partial list of clients includes Advocates, Inc., The Carroll Center for the Blind, Coptic Orphans, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Adobe, and Akamai Technologies.

I am a co-owner and representative of Riverway Media, an up-and-coming production company in Troy, NY. The majority of my work is documentary style promos and a docu-series highlighting unique aspects of life in Troy. I have a BFA in Film Production from Rochester Institute of Technology and over 6 years of hands-on experience in the field. I am a videographer and sound mixer, as well as an editor and colorist. I have produced and edited all of my short films, ranging from works of fiction, to experimental and documentary. CHRISTIAN DE REZENDES – Director, Producer, Cinematographer and Editor. Through his company Breaking Branches Pictures (est. 1996), Christian has received over 35 filmmaking awards for his work as a Director, Cinematographer and Editor. He has over 20 directing credits, and many of his films have been distributed, screened internationally at film festivals, and have been broadcast regionally on PBS. His films cover a wide range of topics such as the Station Nightclub fire, art therapy, epilepsy, children with special needs, spirituality and faith-based services, LGBTQ rights and historic preservation. Christian has directed and produced critically acclaimed and award-winning films, including the documentary features Alzira’s Story (2000), 41 (2007) and Raising Matty Christian (2014), and the fully improvised dramedy feature Getting Out of Rhode Island (2003). His short documentaries such as Zach: A Film about Epilepsy (2009), Thinking Through the Drink (2010) REVEALED: Portraits Beneath One’s Surface (2011), Fred and Emile (2015), Fueling Fierce: The Shannon Heil Story (2016) and Love Is the Energy (2019), have also received international attention. Christian has also directed multi-award-winning short narratives, such as the comedy Cat Scratch (2012), and Memories for Sale (2013), a short drama based on the play by Jerry Bisantz, and in a co-production with Image Theater in Lowell, MA, and the comedy It Might Be Me (2016). In 2014, Christian directed and edited the feature doc Raising Matty Christian, about the life of Matthew G. Christian (1983-2009), who was born without full limbs and accomplished inspiring acts. The film won 10 top film festival awards including the Best of Fest Audience Award at the Woods Hole Film Festival and has been officially selected by 16 festivals nationwide. The film is now available through Amazon Prime. He is currently directing the historical documentary series Slatersville: America’s First Mill Village. The film will be his most ambitious work to date, and is slated to premiere in 2021. Christian continues to offer film production and post-production services for corporate, commercial and non-profit clientele throughout New England in the fields of medical equipment, ballet performance, faith-based youth programs, services for troubled youth, health care, jewelry sales, traffic engineering and energy medicine schooling, musical performance and the homeless.... to name a few.

Ambrus Hernadi comes from Budapest, Hungary. He obtained his MA degree in Film Studies and then worked for seven years as Camera Assistant next to many renowned directors and cinematographers such as Roger Deakins, Adam Arkapaw, Dante Spinotti or Robert D. Yeoman. Besides working in the field his socially sensitive nature led him making documentary shorts mostly for online journals and NGOs. Assisting others’ ideas and visions led his own creative impulses began to grow exponentially. He decided to move abroad and study again. He graduated in 2019 at The New School's Documentary Studies class in New York. His thesis short documentary, Pat’s Boys was screened at the DOCNYC in 2019. His main interest is to tell personal stories of people whose modes of self-expression are absorbed in a genuine atmosphere. Throughout this kind of examination, Ambrus thrives to blend the theoretical knowledge of filmmaking and narrative techniques with the practical skills he had gained working behind the camera. He is now working on his first feature-length documentary, the Caretaker while mostly working as a cinematographer in documentary projects.

Harry Dwinell is a multimedia artist with professional experience as a photographer, videographer, director, editor, and drone operator (licensed). After his time as a Peace Corps volunteer in The Gambia, Harry received his Masters in Media Studies at The New School in addition to completing their Documentary Film program. In completing his masters, Harry directed and edited a short form (23-minute) documentary concerning the Peace Corps. The film looks to create a dialogue concerning the issues of the Peace Corps and push against the organization's curated image with hopes of potential reform. Currently, Harry is living in Vermont seeking work as a video editor, drone operator, photographer, or videographer. He is willing and eager to travel for work.
