There is nothing more exciting than capturing the world and making it into something that is worth watching. I am truly passionate about my career and learning new things about it. In 2016 Adam received a “Great Performances” grant to make a film about the creator of NYC bucket drumming (still in production.) From that he founded his company Island City Studios and has been directing, producing, filming and editing projects ever since. On contract with the Bronx Museum and the School of Visual Art (SVA), he recenlty completed his first film: “All 4 One - The Tandem Tour Story.” Upcoming projects include, a feature doc about Steinbeck’s novel “The Log From The Sea of Cortez” where Adam will be working with Emmy Award winning producer Robert Kanter and actor James Franco.

Alec Figuracion is a 26-year-old independent filmmaker who has a degree in Psychology at University of Santo Tomas, and a diploma in Filmmaking from the International Academy of Film and Television in Cebu, Philippines where he was given the "Special Award in Directing" as a recognition for his short thesis film, “Tangible”. At the age of 22, he was given the opportunity to direct his feature film, "Bitukang Manok”, for Cinema One Originals 2014 which won “Best Cinematography”. His second feature, “The Eternity Between Seconds” for CineFilipino Film Festival 2018, won “Best Picture”, “Best Director”, “Best Cinematography”, “Best Editing”, and “Best Sound”. It was also exhibited as part of “A Window to Asian Cinema” section in the 2018 Busan International Film Festival, and won “Best Screenplay” at Cape Town Film Market 7 Festival 2018. Alec also works as a freelance editor and his work includes “1st Sem” for CineFilipino 2016, “Hinulid” for QCinema 2016 starring Nora Aunor, and an assortment of short video projects and digital advertising.

My specialties are helping organizations stimulate audience engagement and growth through digital and social media using native and targeted campaigns. I am passionate about storytelling and news coverage because I believe that journalists are the first draft writers of history and find it an invaluable public service to inform the public in with accurate info. In my spare time, I am an advocate for two significant causes close to my heart. One is creating more diverse newsrooms and coverage across the country through my involvement with the Boston and Southern New England Chapters of the National Association of Black Journalists, Inc. Second is helping the community of Grand-Goave, Haiti, through the work of the Be-Like-Brit Foundation, a non-profit that operates a Children's home and health clinic there established after the 2010 Earthquake.
