I am a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Masters Degree in Film and Video production. After graduation I worked as a screenwriter, penning original screenplays and rewriting existing material for most of the Hollywood Studios. I authored the feature film No Escape, directed by Martin Campbell and starring Ray Liotta. In the year 2000, I founded Aurora Video, a full service video production and post production company. I function as a writer, producer, director, videographer, and editor. Since 2000, I have produced, directed, photographed and edited over a hundred video projects, including corporate videos, public service announcements, music videos, training films, promotional videos, book trailers, multi-camera live performance shoots and award-winning narrative shorts. Some of my recent clients include the band Blondie and Dweezil Zappa, MasterCard, The United Way, The YMCA and The New York Institute of Photography.

About Raouf Z.

We include a sound recordist on all shoots at no extra charge. We shoot with the Red Komodo and Schneider Cine Xenar primes as well as an assortment of professional LED lights. Raouf Zaki's experience ranges from a DOP on countless docs and branded content as well as producing for the NOVA Evolution series about petrified whales in the Egyptian desert, to lensing “run and gun” shows for the Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel. Raouf served as a cameraman for several independent documentaries that were broadcast on Frontline and POV like “Funny Faces,” a documentary on Muslim comedians and “Aristide, the Endless Revolution.” He was segment producer and main cameraperson on a documentary for Lebanese TV “LBC” about Arab American after the events of 9/11. Raouf was also selected by the US Health Initiative to produce and direct educational dramas on AIDS awareness. He won a Lamplighter Award for a documentary on the mentally challenged, produced for Vinfen Corporation. He won a second Lamplighter award for an instructional video for cancer survivors, produced for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In 2019, Raouf produced, shot, and edited a short documentary about a blind singer for the 2019 AT&T Shape Create-a-thon in Los Angeles, which won the grand prize from 580 entries and 1400 participating filmmakers! Raouf has also worked on hundreds of corporate productions, television PSAs and web commercials, recruitment videos, and live webcasts. A partial list of clients includes Advocates, Inc., The Carroll Center for the Blind, Coptic Orphans, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Adobe, and Akamai Technologies.
