Former Marine Colby Hollabaugh leads the Sea Lions for Service Members course in Laguna Beach, California. At the Pacific Marine Mammal Center veterans work as a team to rehabilitate injured and sick sea lions to eventually release back into their natural habitat. Hollabaugh is diagnosed with PTSD, and his work has taught him that, just like veterans, recovering sea lions aren’t weak - they just need help. Santa Barbara native Michael Long has been an artist for over 30 years. Inspired by the gritty, worn-down nature of local bars, Long began crafting intricate miniature dive bar replicas. Piece by piece he molds and builds each detail from the chairs, to the alcohol, to the trash left outside. Through his detail he is able to capture a fleeting moment in time in each little world. The moon’s water could serve as a precious resource for deep space exploration, but how do we actually turn it into rocket fuel? In 1959, three men with paranoid schizophrenia believed they were all Jesus Christ. One psychologist brought them together in a psychiatric hospital to try a new way to treat them. In seeking a humane alternative to electroconvulsive shock therapy, Dr. Milton Rokeach risked his professional reputation -- and much more. The true story of the Three Christs of Ypsilanti is now a feature film, starring Peter Dinklage, Richard Gere, Walton Goggins, Bradley Whitford and Julianna Margulies, in theaters and everywhere Jan 10th: http://bit.ly/60SDThreeChrists The moon’s water could serve as a precious resource for deep space exploration, but how do we actually turn it into rocket fuel?
