I am an Emmy Award winning freelance journalist, fixer and producer. I am the main correspondent for Reuters in Baja California. I also freelance for Imagen Television, Estrella TV, Hoy Los Angeles, Sintesis TV and other networks. Through my special knowledge of the language, culture and physical area of latin america I am sought after by foreign network as a Producer and Fixer. I have worked with international media outlets from the USA, Australia, Brazil, Italy, Japan, China, South Korea, Egypt, Russia, Germany and the Netherlands. I also enjoy creating productions for tourism and commercial projects and has done so with commerical companies in Mexico, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I was born Mexico and I predominantly work between Mexico, the USA and Central America specializing in the area of Human Rights and Migration. I am married to an Australian citizen and have developed an interest in the Pacific region. I gained insight into journalism from a young age as a result of working as a teenager for my Father who was a journalist and Director of a television network. Eventually I pathed my own way in a career in journalism after completing a Bachelor of Communications and Social Science as I began working for Sintesis TV doing audio work, a year later, working the cameras, writing notes, and then reporting as well. I worked between 2003 to 2015 as a Television anchor and journalist for Sintesis TV. I then went into freelance journalism for LA networks and became known for my journalism covering the issues of drug trafficking, narco’s, migration and human rights. “We’re really privileged, those of use who dedicate ourselves to this work, despite everything we have to face. It’s a profession that takes a lot of will, a lot of passion, but it leaves you with tremendous experiences as well. I don’t think I was wrong to dedicate the rest of my life to it. I want to be part of creating change so that more people understand the value of information, the value of freedom of expression, in order to have a better community." In 2008, shot guns, were very common in the streets of Tijuana but this was special, I take four hours to stop and journalists were in the fire. the report was made to STN, now called Star TV in Los Angeles
I did this work for Sintesis TV with the goal of portraying the pain of a patient and a family with ELA (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), the patient died during filming
