About
I began my professional career as a freelancer for Reuters in 2003, before graduating as a journalist in 2005. I then worked as a freelance for Associated Press and VC-Medios to produce content for History Channel, as well as for Univision, the BBC, and the Financial Times. Since 2017, I was the main coordinator for AFPTV in the Caracas office. Then from 2019 until mid-2021, I served as the coordinator of the Andean region, in charge of coverage of Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru. I have received several awards, including the International Prize of the Varenne Foundation in France, which promotes freedom of expression, and the award of the twenty-sixth edition of the Bayeux Calvados-Normandie awards for war correspondents in the television category.
