I am a senior journalist and researcher from Bangalore, India. I have produced, directed and presented documentaries and researched for them as well. I like hard hitting stories that look at the people behind the news, the issues that need change because human rights are being denied and the injustices in countries where people still struggle to live a decent life. I also like to celebrate stories that are successes and pave the way for inspirational movements, for reform, for hope and for empowerment. Some of the stories I have worked on in the past are manual scavengers now running a bakery successfully, a snake catcher who ferries children to school and saves reptiles, a woman cop who battled the odds to reach the top. I also love stories that are off beat - stories that people have not seen before or heard of before and those that make people ponder, reflect and act.
