But despite recent attempts to protect these trees, they could soon be headed for extinction. So what makes frankincense and myrrh so expensive? Families live along the coastline livelihood is fully dependent on the sustainability of the fishery industry. To improve the fishery industry, in 2004 small scale traditional fisheries from southwest Madagascar started using closures on the octopus 2 - 6 months. This helped them to increase the catch. This success led to community to take actions. For the last 50 years, USGS has been collecting data, monitors and analyzes on water, earth, and biological science. To rehabilitate the native oysters in San-Francisco Bay many dedicated biologists, engineers, and planners come together to watch the construction of 350 concrete housing units into the shallows off the Point Pinole Reginal Shoreline. The Giant Marsh Living Shoreline Project will be a home for many oysters and other habitats on the shoreline. Tideline Marine Group launched a new Richmond-to-San Francisco water taxi today. The commuter service will run Mondays through Fridays on three vessels that will transport passengers between Marina Bay and San Francisco’s Pier 1.5.

Her recent documentary “Blue Devil” has won the Knight Award for Best reporting in Science and Environment, also got nominated as Best Short Documentary at Pan Africa Film Festival, Montreal Black Film Festival, and San Diageo Black Film Festival. Nebat has spent eight years reporting and producing documentaries the national media, Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation, where she was named Producer of the Year in 2011 and 2012. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and specialized in Documentary Filmmaking. Her First Masters was in Theatre and Development from Addis Ababa University and got her bachelor's degree in Theater Arts at Addis Ababa University.
