I am an investigative journalist based out of New York. I've spent years working for CNN, Newsweek, Netflix, NatGeo, MSNBC, NBC News, Al Jazeera America & English. From 2012 until 2013, I was also an editor on the national desk at AOL's hyperlocal news site Patch.com. Before this, I worked at BBC News' North America bureau in Washington D.C. I hold a Master of Science from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. In addition to international broadcasters and newspapers, I have held a variety of media positions a newspaper, weekly and monthly magazines, and a daily newswire. At Al Jazeera America, I'm a news producer, working on feature and breaking news on U.S. and global stories. At Al Jazeera English, I was part of the core production team for the network's flagship geopolitical program Empire. My writing, photos, videos and infographics have appeared in a variety of publications, including TIME magazine, PBS, New York Magazine and the Miami Herald.
