About Reinier
My home location is The Netherlands, from where I can do a wide range of stories around the globe. News, background stories and human interest are the stories which have my preference. I'm available throughout the year. Besides working in (western) Europe, I often work worldwide. Either for companies, NGOs, TV or event, I travel abroad to create content and exposure. Prior clients include Discovery Channel, Oxfam, Lonely Planet and more. On a lot of these international trips, I can combine productions, making it more affordable to produce. My mother tongue is Dutch. I speak English fluent and can speak a fair bit of German and French. I have working experience in over 75 countries worldwide.

Racial Holidays turned round

On Nov 16th Sinterklaas (Dutch Santa) will arrive in town with his helpers. Before it were 'black slaves' (Blackface alike) as a tradition dating from 1850. A judge recently decided in favor of people opposing the event from a racial POV. Now, helpers can't be black anymore, angering many Dutch people. This event will have demonstrations, arrest, riots - otherwise it's a 'fun event for kids'.
