Luisa, a middle-class woman, fights against her own demons to cope with the bad decisions she has made throughout her life. The presence of her son, a teenager who has had to fill the empty space of an absent father, becomes the shadow of the pain that triggers the anger and discontent of a mother who can barely distinguish between reality and her imagination. Natural Hero is a micro-documentary that dives into the forests of El Palmar, a small town in eastern Venezuela, where a group of men and women risk their lives to preserve and remove from the lists of extinction one of the largest and most majestic birds on the planet, the Harpy Eagle. This film was an Official Selection and Honorable Mention at the Latin American Nature Awards 2020. I am a Venezuelan journalist who translates words into images. Dedicated to cinematography and directing, I have made my way into documentaries, short films, fiction, music videos and many other pieces, including as a camera operator and screenwriter. The television networks that support part of the documentaries in which I have worked are: ABC News, Al Jazeera, SRF and BBC. With an ease of communication with people from all over the world, thanks to all the languages I have had the pleasure of learning and which I now speak, such as Spanish, English, Portuguese and Chinese, interaction and understanding are not a problem. Andrés Barrios is a Venezuelan man who has focused his life on art. Coming from a family mostly made up of artists, he´s skills have been highlighted in music and painting, but not in any way. One of his favorite instruments is a saw, with which he plays beautiful melodies. And if we talk about his paintings, his greatest works have been made in the bathroom of his house sitting on the toilet.
