About

Puerto Rican filmmaker known for his documentary work and music videos. In 2001 he began as director, videographer and editor in the award winning Geoambiente, on which he travelled through the island's natural habitats and cities, working with scientists and communities to reflect on current environmental challenges. In 2005, he directed and edited the feature documentary "Aljuriya", which examined the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the perspective of activists involved in the struggle. Gabriel is also recognized for his Emmy Award winning musical feature “Sono, Sono, Tite Curet” (2011), the bio of a legendary musical composer and his legacy throughout Latin Amercia, and New York. In 2014, he was the recipient of the international fund Doctv for his feature documentary “Armonía”, about the struggle of a small town unemployed music teacher. He has also worked as freelance editor and videographer in feature films, documentaries, music videos and commercials.
