About Matteo

Hi Story Hunters, My name is Matteo Ghidoni, I am a video journalist and video maker based in Los Angeles. I create video news, short documentaries and interviews on a daily basis, for several outlets such as the Italian National TV RAI, the international Chinese tv CGTN, the NY Post and more. In the last seven years, from Los Angeles and the USA, I created videos for Voice of America, Fox, Sky, Yahoo, the Italian biggest press agencies ANSA, Kika Press and more. Before living and working as videomaker between Los Angeles and Milan, I’ve lived and worked in Amsterdam, Rome and for a while in Ghana. I love my job and I am always glad to get in touch with great professionals. We could have a fluent conversation in English, Spanish or Italian, my mother tongue. I’ve been working in televisions, radios and newspapers since when I finished my Master in media communication, in 2008. I can create video news on my own: starting from the idea to the final product and also work in a team of reporters. I have been working in some independent documentary and I learned a lot from those experiences, I am willing to bring it to the next level. I can work both in front and behind the camera or as a producer/coordinator. I know different kinds of editing programs and cameras My Multicultural background makes it easy for me to adapt in new contexts. Writing, producing and filming videos is my way to express my creativity. In my free time, I love to learn improv theater.
