My name is Mathew Pimental, storytelling through film has been my passion and career for the last eight years. I emphasize heavily on cinematic and humanizing images and strike at the heart of every story I am telling. I've spent these last six years traveling the country in search of relevant untold stories, whether it be a struggling musician or an up and coming inventor; if there is a story, it is my passion to find it.
This short piece is about New Jersey based inventor, Stan Petrov. Born and raised in Bulgaria while it was under communism. Seeking asylum in America at the behest of his mother, Stan became a US citizen and made a way for himself inventing new technologies. After hearing a little about his story, I knew it was something worth telling. This short was a result of that.
Project Motion is a visual storytelling format for artists - in this case, Jenny Kinney. A Denver based metal smith who draws inspiration for her pieces from her upbringing in the secluded mountains of Grand County.
