I have a story for you. Well about you, really. It started when you were born and the world was shiny and new. In fact, everything you encountered had a mysterious wonder to it. Each leaf a miracle, every a blade of grass a world unto itself. As you grew older however, you began to notice less. Responsibilities and schedules vied for your attention and the walk to work was filled with people in your way instead of fascinating humans, each with a story of their own to tell. As your world became narrower, your heart became harder. Then one day, a seed of a thought wandered into your brain and it took hold. It whispered, "Open your tired old eyes, and see the world anew." My mission is to water that seed. As a filmmaker and a wilderness instructor with a passion for adventure, I aim to challenge others to see the beauty in life. I love telling stories, exploring deeper meaning, and helping others discover their potential through adventure and reflection. I am primarily a documentary filmmaker, having produced and directed Ty's List, a feature length documentary about the grieving process and living life to the fullest. I have also created short videos for non-profits such as Chicago Voyageurs and Northwestern Dance Marathon.

WINNER: "Film Heals" Award, Manhattan Film Festival Three strangers go on a journey to honor their life-loving friend, who died at 23, by exploring a list of his favorite things to do in his hometown of San Francisco. Part tribute, part documentary, part call-to-action, “Ty’s List” reminds us that, while we cannot choose how we will die, we can choose how we will live.
