About
I'm an award-winning journalist, who began working in documentary photography and filmmaking about 15 years ago. I've directed and produced two feature-length documentaries, and am now directing and shooting my third. I'm also a member of Local 600, and shoot on film and TV sets. As a documentary photographer, I've focused on post-conflict work, but I'm drawn in general to stories that ask the questions: What does it mean to be human? What is the role of community in helping us define our humanity? I'm experienced in national and international coverage, and I'm a 2012 Guggenheim Fellow in Photography, and a Sundance Documentary Institute fellow. I'm visual, verbal, and passionate.
