Found, interviewed and wrote a piece on the photographer who took the iconic National Geographic cover photo of the "green-eyed Afghan girl", Sharbat Gula. If it weren't for photographer Steve McCurry, her story and that of many Afghans who share her struggle would've never been told. At the time of this piece, she was arrested by Pakistani authorities for allegedly falsifying ID documents.
