Stanley Okonye, joined the Africa Desk of TRT World in November 2017 as a Planning Producer. He is an accomplished Television News Producer and newsroom manager. He also contributed to the takeoff of the International arm, TVC News Africa in 2012 where he managed the Output Desk overseeing the coverage of A list events on the continent including the Westgate Attack in Kenya and the burial of Nelson Mandela in 2013. He was a field producer for TVC News Africa at the Africa Union Summits in 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Kigali, Rwanda as well as the 2016 Ghana presidential election. He coordinated the coverage of 2011 and 2015 general elections in Nigeria for TVC News
