This 360° video platform sheds light to the struggle of Congolese women and their dreams and hopes for their country. The immersive story combines 360° and conventional video portraits. The platform itself was developed by Lucidweb.
Through an interactive experience, visitors of AfricaMuseum are immersed in the Congolese everyday life in the abandoned research facility of Yangambi or Kinshasa, a city of the arts and city of contrasts. Using a VR-headset, the visitors choose who they'd like to meet. There's something for everybody: a talented girl boxer, an artist who paint with fire and smoke, a war survivor, a scientist, a traditional healer and a group of sapeurs.

During the course of 4 weeks, we traveled through Europe to meet young Europeans with a distinct view on the state of the European Union, on either side of the political spectrum. We met neofascists in Rome, miners in Poland, volunteers who work with refugees, ecowarriors, historical re-enactors, yellow vests and many others. We follow the portrayed youth in their everyday lives and try to understand their vision of the world around them. The series of 12 portraits was published on vrtnws.be, vrtnu.be and YouTube.

One year after bringing 100+ new instruments to the ruined music academy of Mosul, Rudi Vranckx and his team invite the musicians on a tour through Belgium.

It was in the summer of 2017 that Rudi Vranckx reported from Mosul where IS left the city in ruins. Vranckx met a number of musicians, who played John Lennon's "Imagine" against the surrealist backdrop of a city in ruins on instruments that they had hidden from the jihadeen. The VRT reporter then launched his campaign to collect musical instruments for Iraq and collected far more than he ever expected. With some difficulty the instruments were taken to Iraq last September.

During the course of 4 weeks, we traveled through Europe with our own-built "voting booth". In it, over a 100 European citizens in 7 countries have given their opinion on fake news, migration, youth unemployment, fear and the state of the European Union. The end result?
