During my time at GenTV (Channel 8, Miami), I held a leadership role in the promotions department and served as the Editor for the reality show "Letter and Music" (Telemundo-NBC). Additionally, my most recent editing endeavor, "New Dawn" (2020), was honored with the prestigious "Documentary Achievement Award" at the Miami Film Festival. As a seasoned post-production producer, I have experience working with teams of all sizes, including editors, colorists, sound technicians, motion graphics experts, and CGI artists. A NEW DAWN is a documentary depicting the lives of Cubans arriving into the United States as they escaped from Fidel Castro's Cuba in the sixties and seventies. Featuring interviews with several Cuban-Americans of various walks of life, they recount often traumatic stories about leaving everything behind and finding a new place to belong and get ahead. I participated as Co-Editor of the Production.
In making this documentary, we explored the transformative journey of a modern tribe in southwestern Colombia. With insights from native and modern movements, they identified four powerful pillars driving the energy of creating a new history: Community, Ancestrality, Sacred Feminine, and The Dances of Universal Peace. Witnessing the re-weaving and reconnection of this tribe through these elements was truly awe-inspiring.
