Johan Eriksson has filmed and photographed on five continents. His work focuses on the surprises of daily life. His recent film and photography trips have taken him to Liberia, Somaliland, Latvia, Papua New Guinea, and Sri Lanka. His work focuses on the intimate daily life of ordinary people in these countries. His photography has been featured time and again with Gapminder, a global project to visualize the span of wealth and poverty around the world. His video work includes a feature length narrative film set in Ghana, multi-continent shoots development organization such as UNDP’s JPO program, as well as numerous smaller NGOs.
