Basbosa Belqeshta (Basbousa with Cream) – 2020 The film discusses the dialectical relationship between a political prisoner and his jailer. It uses the intricate human dimensions of this relationship as a means to summarize the physiological conflict between them, thus revealing, through the internal conflict, one of the oppressive authority’s tools (the jailer) and his job role which requires him to break and be violent toward the other (the prisoner), as well as showing the jailer’s humane side and the simplicity of his psyche.
