I am a documentary film maker and video editor based in India. I have produced features and documentary content for international television channels and production companies, including Euronews Television, McGee Media US (on Storyhunter). I can research the story, conduct and shoot field interviews, capture audio and video and edit the package. A lot, true. And a massive advantage when quick turnaround is vital. What's more, having hands-on experience in all these areas of filmmaking also enables me to work better in a team collaboration. I've filmed in remote villages in the poorest districts of India (like Mewat in north India) and in the metropolis of Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. As a film editor and colorist, I can also collaborate on film and video editing projects, having worked on long-form documentary films that have gone on to the international film festival circuit.
The vast emptiness of the Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, India, stretches out to the horizon in every direction. Rann is Gujarati for desert, and for wildlife photographer Devjibhai this is home. Around here he is known as The Desert Man. It was fascinating experiencing the LRK desert with the Desert Man, in Gujarat. This is a story I researched, shot and edited for Euronews TV's Le Mag.
In many parts of the world, not just India, education is considered an unnecessary and un-affordable luxury for girls, whose primary role is seen as helping out at home. The Educate Girls foundation has set out to change the hearts and minds of communities where these attitudes prevail by mobilizing and leveraging public, private and community resources.
Kerala – at the southern most tip of India – is defined by its serene landscapes and tranquil backwaters dotted with ancient temples, synagogues and churches. As the sun goes down, drums beckon devotees to the nearby temple. The all-night festival is resplendent with over a thousand lamps, elephants and a 250 member orchestra.
