Having fled disaster and conflict and forced to seek refuge in nearby Lebanon, these young Syrian refugees are unable to access formal schooling. Through Christian Aid partners, JCC, we’re managing to keep their dreams of an education alive. JCC have set up a school that teaches children from the local refugee camp.

Film shot on a mobile phone for security reasons, with a very quick turnaround to make the Christmas deadline for the NGOs appeal. South Sudan is facing catastrophic food shortages, caused by four years of conflict in the country: nearly 5m people don’t know where their next meal will come from. Christian Aid has been providing food vouchers, farming training and other humanitarian support to communities hit by the hunger crisis.

One year on from the earthquake, Christian Aid toured two affected districts in Nepal and asked people to tell us what they thought about the aid they’d received. Converting a small truck into a private studio, almost 200 participants recorded their personal views on an automated camera. This aim of this film is to highlight Christian Aid’s commitment to listen to and learn from vulnerable communities and call upon the global humanitarian community to do the same at the World Humanitarian Summit this May (2016).
