Marco Gandolfo, born in 1976, lives and works in Rome. After some experience in SkyNews he started attending to documentary films shooting and editing for “GREATER - defeating AIDS” by Emmanuel Exitu, awarded by Spike Lee as the best documentary film at the Babelgum Online Film Festival in 2008. Over the past 10 years Marco has been working with international authors such as Paul Badde, Monica Maggioni, Fernando De Haro, Gian Micalessin, Francesco Cabras, Alberto Molinari. “Bisagno” (2015) is his first full-length documentary film as director. In addition to his activity as a documentary filmmaker, Gandolfo made many corporate videos for clients as FAO, Beta80 Group, Four In The Morning, Wip.
We had to tell how Beta80 Group's technology and knowledge helped Safilo increase its business. I worked with the client to perfect the storyboard and I directed, filmed and edited the corporate video.
We had to find the best way to communicate the values of the Campi Valerio winery. I worked as storyteller, director, cinematographer and editor.
Aldo Gastaldi, battle nicknamed 'Bisagno', 'first Italian resistance fighter', was a hero at the end of the Second World War. It's almost seventy years since he mysteriously died; the last witnesses expose a resistance far from rhetoric, enlightened by their commander. When I discovered this story, I decided that it would be my story. The film was aired by Rai Storia.
