About
I am a freelance photographer based in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. I have covered stories across West Africa with NGO's, government aganecies, and for AFP. I was a staff photographer and editor with AFP serving in the Washington DC, Middle East, and South Asia offices for over 15 years. Before that I worked as the Reuters chief photographer in Sri Lanka, and as a Gulf News staff photographer in Dubai. While working in East Africa and Southeast Asia I was contributing photographer to the Associated Press, Getty Images, Bloomberg, the Australian Associated Press, and ZUMA. In addition to his photography I worked as an emergency logistics coordinator for Doctors Without Borders and as a National Forest Service fire-fighter in Oregon on a hotshot crew.
