My name is Alcee H. Walker and I am a upcoming documentarian. I am also a publish author that focus all my films and books on young black males. I consider myself a role model for the black generation. When I was growing up as a child the black drug dealers that stood on my corner and sold drugs were considered to be the role models and just to see and experience their lifestyle was not the life I wanted to choose. I was born and raised in the hood of West Palm Beach, FL and growing up I was constantly surrounded by crime and violence. Despite the obstacles, I went to college received my B.A. degree and published two books. Now I am pursing an MFA degree in Social Documentary. I am grateful for the many opportunities and for me the ultimate display of gratitude is to give back in any and every way I can. As a film director, it is my sincere desire, that at the end of all my films viewers will not only have an increased awareness of the harsh realities faced by the average young black man but will also have a newfound, tenacious hope that the cycle of violence can be broken, in our families, in our communities, in our world. I hunt for any and all issues about black youth/men.
