About Sam

Sam Eaton is a freelance journalist and filmmaker based in the New York area. His stories and films on climate change, international development and environmental conflict have brought him to more than two dozen countries around the world. His work has been featured on APM’s Marketplace, PRI’s The World, PBS NewsHour, NBC News Digital, The Nation magazine, and UN Web TV. Sam is a Pulitzer Center grantee, an associate of UC Berkeley’s Investigative Reporting Program, and a two-time winner of the Society of Environmental Journalists award for Outstanding Beat Reporting, Large Market.
