I am an anthropologist with with a particular interest in migration and refugees studies. I have been working with refugees for nearly 20 years in the UK, Malta, Ethiopia and Djibouti, both in academia and in the non-governmental sector. I have a PhD degree in Social Policy from University of Brighton in the UK and a Masters in Refugee Studies from the University of East London. I published journalistic pieces for the Middle East Eye, The Arab Weekly, Africa Report, London Review of Books and Ethiopia Insight.
