About Jeff

Jeff Farrell is an independent journalist specialising in Latin American affairs. An award-winning reporter, he has filed across the multimedia spectrum for clients including The Guardian, The Christian Science Monitor and The Miami Herald, Irish state broadcaster RTE and Storyful. He is the author of true crime prison drama The Cocaine Diaries, a story of survival in a Venezuelan jail. He hunts for stories focused on injustice and corruption, giving a voice to the oppressed, forgotten and ignored. He lives between Dublin and Bogota and travels widely in Latin America.
