Years after the railway reached the modern day Nairobi, the colonial government was commissioned the construction of various administrative buildings that would constitute the operational headquarters of the new colony. One such building on Delamere Avenue which is the present day Kenyatta Avenue is the iconic old PC Building where records of births, marriages and deaths were kept.
