Nicky Young is a video journalist, film maker and skateboarder originally from Toronto. His work in media began right out of high school with skateboarding magazines as a photographer but quickly evolved to photography and videography of social movements, often working imbedded with community. Skills include interview, research, and narrative production, drone operation, camera and audio recording.

Nicky was very communicative and thorough. He followed the Business Insider guidelines to shoot some beautiful broll and interviews for us in Toronto on short notice. He has all the equipment you need for a multi-camera and drone shoot and his rate is very reasonable for all the time and effort he puts into a project.

A video I put together from an event called Unite Against Austerity where I got to learn a great deal about the different effects austerity has on different sections of the population, and how it is unwillingly forced upon us by the banking system.
A short video I made with ShitHarperDid and Wage Solidarity to help raise funds for an indigenous farmer who grows food to feed resistance camps. My involvement included filming, syncing, and editing multiple camera angles and audio tracks, finding archival footage and conducting interviews.
