Website - https://www.ejazmehedi.com Born and raised in the cradle of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Ejaz is a young self-taught cinematographer and filmmaker working on narratives, commercials, and music videos. Deeply moved by Rob Reiner's "Stand By Me" and Morshedul Islam's "Dipu Number Two", the two films perhaps sparked an artistic curiosity and passion for story in his childhood. While pursuing a photography degree in his early twenties with a deep-rooted interest in the art form, Ejaz became heavily invested in motion pictures after working on a series of documentary films. Recently Ejaz was behind the camera on Joran Peele and Riz Ahmed's executive produced short film "MOSHARI". The multi-OSCAR®-qualifying, groundbreaking, genre-bending horror short won 11 awards from 20+ festivals around the world in 2022. Meena's Dream is a documentary style fictional narrative short film which explores a young girl's timeline village in her, her bonding with nature and her devastating encounter with arsenic poisoned water thatwill tragically change the course of her life over time. We also learn how today iDE Bangladesh continues to expand their reach and deepen their impact. Finally, we get a glimpse of how things run in Dhaka office, located in the heart of the vibrant capital city.
DHAKA IN A MINUTE is a small piece on Dhaka city, the bustling capital of Bangladesh from the eyes of a traveler. This small fragment of work is from an eight minute documentary piece done for iDE - International Development Enterprises. The Deadly Cost of Fashion takes a detailed look into the tragic collapse of Rana Plaza in Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh through the perspective of a documentary photographer. The disaster that took lives of 1100 garment workers while injuring 2500 more making it the deadliest accident in the history of garment industry.

All We Do is a music video composed with an inter-relatable conversation series by humans in forms of short stories when they were asked with a simple but often overlooked question "What does it meanto be human?" This project is the result of a plethora of thoughtful human reflections to this question.
