About Mars

I’m a colorist/editor who has worked in post-production for more than ten years, both, on set and chained to a computer at all hours. Seven of those years were spent in Los Angeles working in advertising and freelancing on other projects in my spare time. I have worked across all formats and genres from TVCs and Music Videos to Feature length and Short Films. I’ve graded projects for clients including ESPN, Showtime, HBO, Netflix, Amazon, and National Geographic. I’ve also worked on Music Videos for such artist as Peaches, Tegan & Sara, Bell’s Roar and Buddy. I studied Communication & Cinema Studies at Northeastern University. Additionally, I taught color theory and grading at one of the top film programs worldwide at Loyola Marymount University. I enjoy being a Jane of All Trades and am always willing to learn new skills. I looooove working on all stories but have a particular passion for uplifting stories by women, people of color and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Now Melbourne based, I live with my partner, Casey, and our son, Henry. In my spare time, I’m building Legos, designing tiny houses, talking myself into believing in manifestation, catching up on Netflix and compiling a list of books to read at some point in the next 10 years.

Comedian Kurt Braunohler has a plan: Jet ski the length of the mighty Mississippi, raise enough money to send 500 goats and 1,000 chickens to Africa, and spread as much absurdity and joy as possible along the way. Join him as he reconnects with old friends and makes new ones, performs stand-up and engages in good old-fashioned hijinks at each one of his stops along the great American river.

The Glamour & The Squalor is the story of Marco Collins, one of America's last great rock radio DJs and a musical tastemaker that changed our culture. Before the Internet made sourcing new music and rising bands a simple matter of keystrokes and RSS feeds, there was the radio DJ.
