Zsuzsanna Gellér-Varga is a documentary filmmaker, video story-teller and colorist. Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, now living in the U.S., she has been producing content for over 20 years: TV news, docu series (as videojournalist), corporate videos and award-winning independent documentaries. She has been teaching at university courses and international workshops. She has a Masters degree from UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and a D.L.A. from the University of Theater and Film Arts in Budapest.

Zsuzsanna is detail oriented and pays attention to all small particulars when working on a project. She tries to submit projects with little to no mistakes. Her perfectionism is an excellent example to the team, but sometimes she's too harsh on herself, which can affect her performance. Overall she's a good producer, and I would hire her again.

Casto Patrick has dedicated his life to closing the gender gap in patriarchal Tanzania. Educating young women about highly taboo subjects, like preventive health education and personal hygiene – he wants to show an example to his fellow men while empowering girls and providing them with opportunities to be able to attend school.

Rustam Khair Khwa is an 18-year-old boy who, like many teen boys, dreams of being a professional athlete. His sport of choice is soccer and his dedication to ‘The Beautiful Game’ is matched only by his loyalty to his family. But for Rustam and his family – living as refugees in India after fleeing Kabul, Afghanistan – each day is a challenge. With his mom as the sole parent at home, and four kids to care for with little support, Rustam must figure out how to balance helping at home and pursuing his dreams.

As a child, Stephen Palkun endured traumatic abuse, which left deep emotional scars under the surface. Years later, as a young man, Palkun tried to end his life – but not before sending distressing messages to close friends who would end up saving him. In this film, Stephen reflects on his experiences and how others in his community can better address trauma and mental illness. In Nigeria, mental health is often overlooked, and those who suffer often feel shame. But a growing awareness and new services offers Stephen, and those like him, a path forward.
